Beauty in Poverty

It is most important to open up in depth and truth, to be present where we are and a contributor to life around us.

There is beauty everywhere, but the poverty-stricken do not perceive it.

The work of spiritual maturation and renewal requires allowing life's harrowing experiences to open our hearts for the sake of others. Through our own hurts we become sensitized to the wounds of others.

So that we learn to be the soothing touch

that we ourselves desire to receive.
